For the current version of timesoria. These notes describe how the app works and its limitations; Help provides instructions. Download and use are also subject to the license agreement shown in the App Store. Contact: timesoria@gmail.com. Timesoria is for users aged 14 or over; ages 14–17 require a legal guardian’s confirmation and guidance.

A Space for Yourself

Use the app to keep text and photos you have the right to use. This version does not offer public posting, social interaction, or delivery of future letters to others. Write to the Future sets a time for you to read your own letter later.

Add a voice

Add one audio clip per record, up to 15 seconds and 200 KB. Recording stops automatically at the limit.

In Now, expand Add a voice to record, pause, resume, or finish a clip. Listen to it, then tap Save This Moment or Save for the Future to save it with your text or photos. Finishing a recording alone does not save the record. Tap a blank area to collapse the section when it has no recording.

Future Letters and Keeping Them

Future letters must be set to arrive at least one year later. The app controls visibility of text and photos using the device date; this is not a timed-decryption service with keys held on a server. Keep the system clock accurate, as changing it can affect opening and reminders. You do not need to renew a subscription to read an arrived letter. Unreceived letters remain waiting, and kept letters stay in the Archive.

Saving, Sync, and Storage

A device that has completed initial online verification, holds the correct key, and has enough local storage can work offline. Saved locally does not mean synced to iCloud. Sync needs the correct account, a working connection, and enough cloud storage. You cannot begin writing if initial setup fails to save. Watch for pending-sync or failure messages, and do not uninstall before uploads finish. iCloud sync does not replace an independent backup.

Key Files and Accounts

A vault in one iCloud account uses one decryption key. The system Keychain may sync it automatically, but you may still need the original key file and password on a new device, after reinstallation, or if the system cannot retrieve the key. The file backs up the key, not your content. The developer cannot recover a lost key or key-file password. The file cannot migrate records between iCloud accounts.

Free Use and Subscription Access

Moments are not limited by the future-letter allowance. The free plan allows up to 12 letters awaiting arrival at once. Active Plus access removes this limit and adds more stationery, memory cards, year layouts, and themes. When a subscription ends, existing content stays saved and opens on schedule. Reading and deleting do not require renewal. New future letters are paused while the waiting count is at or above the free limit. Stationery on saved records, your selected theme, and your memory-card style remain. Year in Review defaults to the free Chronicle style; new records choose default stationery according to current access.

Purchases, Renewal, and Restoration

Monthly and yearly plans provide the same Plus access over different periods. Prices, currencies, and renewal conditions are those on the App Store confirmation screen. You can cancel automatic renewal in Apple’s subscription management. Access remains through the paid period; revocations and refunds follow Apple’s verified results. Restore purchases on another device using the same purchase account. Uninstalling or resetting the vault does not cancel a subscription. Your purchase and iCloud accounts may differ.

Reminders and Keep Quietly

There are only anniversary-day and arrival-day notifications, with at most one of each type per device per day. Missed reminders do not repeatedly prompt you. Permissions, shutdown, Focus, system scheduling, or an outdated schedule may affect delivery. Keep Quietly stops resurfacing and reminders while preserving the record and its future-letter date. Do not rely on this app as your only reminder for critical matters.

Deletion and Reset

Deleting records and confirming Reset and Erase Content cannot be undone and affect the current iCloud vault after an online check. A reset interrupted by network loss may have deleted only some content and needs to be continued. When complete, the app returns to initial setup. Key files saved elsewhere, originals in Photos, and copies in other services are not automatically deleted.

Photos and Local Appearance

Photos are saved as compressed copies, not replacements for originals in Photos. Themes, Memory Cards, Year in Review styles, and each record type’s last stationery preference are local and need not match between devices. The stationery selected for an actual record is encrypted and synced with it. Year in Review excludes unarrived and quietly kept content.

Version Changes

In-app notices and any available online policies are updated when features or data handling change. Service scope, user responsibilities and limitations follow the Terms of Use and applicable law. These notes do not add features or service commitments that are not expressly provided.
