Parties and acceptance
This app is provided by the Timesoria developer, referred to below as the “Timesoria developer” or “developer”. Based in China. Contact: timesoria@gmail.com. These terms apply to the Timesoria app. Before use, read these terms, the Privacy Policy and Usage Notes, particularly content responsibility, key and data risks, subscriptions and limitations of liability. They take effect when you, or a guardian legally authorized to decide for you, expressly confirm the agreements and select the button to set up the vault or agree and continue. Downloading or viewing alone is not acceptance.
Nature of the service and eligibility
Timesoria is available only to users aged 14 or over, for personal text, photos, supplemental audio, and letters to your future self. It is not a social platform, mail delivery service, professional backup service, will custodian, notary, medical, therapy, or emergency service. Ensure you are authorized to use the device, Apple account, and related services. Users aged 14–17 need a legal guardian to read and confirm the agreements, permit necessary processing, and supervise use. Users under 14 may not use the app, even with a guardian’s consent. Do not falsely declare eligibility or impersonate a guardian. Do not use the app as the sole location for important information or rely on future letters or reminders for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other essential matters.
License and intellectual property
Subject to these terms and applicable Apple licensing rules, the developer grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use, except where law or Apple's Family Sharing rules permit otherwise. Rights in the app's code, branding, original artwork and stationery belong to the developer or the relevant owners; a subscription does not transfer those rights. You retain your rights in your content. Saving a record does not authorize the developer to publish or sell it or use it to train models.
Content and acceptable use
You must ensure that content you enter, store, import or share externally is lawfully sourced and that you have all necessary permissions and consents. You are legally responsible for your content and conduct. Do not infringe privacy, image, copyright or other rights, or use the app for unlawful activity, fraud, harassment, attacks or disruption. Except as expressly permitted by law, do not copy, resell or crack the app or bypass payment or security controls. If your infringement, unlawful conduct or breach of these terms causes third-party claims, regulatory investigations or other losses to the developer, you must bear the applicable legal responsibility and compensate for proven losses and reasonable, necessary enforcement costs caused by that conduct. Private storage does not mean the developer reviews, endorses or warrants your content.
Important: encryption keys and backups
Records are encrypted on your device. The developer cannot recover the plaintext of your private records, reissue your original decryption key or reset a key-file password. If the correct key and usable key file and password are all lost, encrypted content may become permanently unreadable. A key file backs up only the key, not records or photos; it is not a complete content backup and cannot migrate another iCloud account's private data. Keep the file and password safely and separately, verify that they work, and keep independent copies of important writing and photos. This version does not offer full content-backup export.
Important: saving is not syncing
A successful local save does not mean a record has uploaded to iCloud or reached another device. Sync depends on Apple services, the correct account, network access, permissions and available local and cloud storage; it may be delayed, fail or temporarily differ across devices. Check sync status before replacing a device or uninstalling. Sync may propagate deletions and is not an independent backup. The developer does not promise perpetual storage, zero data loss, instant sync or unlimited cloud space. Photos are stored as processed copies and may not match the quality of the originals.
Important: future letters and reminders
Future letters are shown according to the device date. They are not an independently trusted time lock or emails sent later by a server. Device time, operating-system versions, permissions, power state, Focus and system scheduling may affect availability or notifications. Keep the date accurate and do not rely on delivery at an exact moment. Keep Quietly reduces resurfacing; it is not another password lock. Subscription expiry alone does not delay the scheduled availability of existing letters.
Subscriptions, renewal and refunds
Plus is an optional paid subscription. Prices, currencies, billing periods, offers and auto-renewal conditions are shown before purchase; Apple's purchase confirmation controls. Manage your purchasing account and renewals, and cancel auto-renewal within Apple's required timeframe rather than waiting until after a charge. Uninstalling, stopping use or resetting content does not cancel a subscription. Restore purchases with the original purchasing account. Billing, cancellation and refunds follow Apple's transaction rules and applicable law; eligibility and outcomes are subject to the relevant review. The developer cannot cancel a system subscription on your behalf or guarantee a refund. Except where legally required, the developer makes no additional promise of trials, refunds, compensation or service extensions. Do not falsify transactions, seek duplicate recovery or abuse purchase or refund mechanisms.
Content and appearance after expiry
Plus provides only the benefits listed on the purchase screen for the period of entitlement. It is not a promise of permanent operation, unlimited storage, dedicated support or unannounced future features. Expiry does not automatically delete existing records, and reading or scheduled opening does not require renewal. New future letters are paused when waiting letters reach or exceed the free limit. Stationery in existing records and selected themes and memory-card styles remain; default stationery for new records and the year review fall back according to current free entitlements. Selecting new Plus styles requires an active entitlement. Canceling renewal does not immediately end an already-paid period; changes due to revocation or refund follow Apple's verified status.
Deletion and stopping use
Before deleting, resetting, uninstalling or changing devices, check your account, key and sync status and retain any needed independent copies. Confirmed deletion is generally irreversible and may sync to other devices. Resetting does not automatically erase original photos, external key files or system backups. Stopping use or uninstalling does not automatically delete cloud records or cancel subscriptions. Complete any needed copying, cloud deletion and subscription management first. The developer has no private-vault administration backend and cannot remotely inspect, edit, delete, decrypt or recover your records, reissue the original key or reset a key-file password. Support can provide instructions and troubleshooting advice only within actual technical capabilities. To withdraw privacy consent on this device, use Agreements & Privacy. This does not rescind an effective agreement or release prior responsibilities.
Dependencies, security and maintenance
Maintain compatible devices and systems, a working network and available storage, and safeguard your Apple account, device credentials, key files and passwords. Jailbreaking, unofficial modifications, system faults, account restrictions, third-party outages and force majeure may affect use. The developer maintains the app within reasonable technical and resource constraints, without guaranteeing fault-free or uninterrupted operation, resolution of every defect by a specified deadline, or compatibility with all current and future devices and systems. Support does not include round-the-clock human assistance, on-site service, custody of private data or custom development. Losses caused by improper user custody or operation, devices or third parties, and not attributable to the developer, are borne by the responsible party.
Changes, suspension and termination
The developer may adjust, suspend or end some or all services for technical, maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons, without promising permanent maintenance or continued free features. Material changes affecting purchased core benefits or data access will be reasonably notified where practicable, with available handling options explained. Unperformed paid services are handled under applicable law and Apple's transaction rules. Urgent security or legal circumstances may prevent advance notice. This version has no backend for remote administration of private records. Ending maintenance does not delete, migrate or recover content on your behalf or guarantee compatibility with later systems. Purchase decisions should be based on available features; roadmaps and ideas discussed are not delivery commitments.
Important: liability and mandatory exceptions
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided with its current features and availability. The developer gives no warranties not expressly made in these terms and does not guarantee fitness for a particular personal purpose, expected returns or emotional expectations. The developer is liable only for proven losses legally attributable to it and causally connected to its breach or fault. Liability for indirect losses, expected profits or lost business opportunities is excluded where the law permits that exclusion. Take reasonable steps to prevent further loss when a problem occurs; reasonably avoidable increases in loss are excluded as permitted by law. These limitations do not apply to personal injury, property loss caused by intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that the law prohibits excluding or limiting.
Changes to these terms
Normal use requires explicit agreement to the Terms of Use and necessary privacy processing. A valid confirmation is not requested again merely because of routine app updates, wording improvements or interface changes. Material changes to important rights or duties, or to processing purposes, methods or scope, will be clearly notified and consent obtained again where legally required. Additional charges still require a separate purchase confirmation. If you decline, you may stop use and still view agreements, Usage Notes and contact details. Stopping use does not automatically erase existing information. Arrange any needed copying and deletion; the developer cannot remotely manage private records on your behalf.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of mainland China, without excluding other mandatory rules that must apply by law. For disputes, provide truthful, necessary facts, app version, timing and a description to timesoria@gmail.com. Do not fabricate evidence, impersonate others, or use threats or harassment to seek improper benefits. The developer may request verification relevant to the request, consolidate duplicates, and explain why a request cannot be fulfilled or is not legally supported, while still handling requests required by law. Unresolved disputes may be brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction. An invalid provision does not invalidate other valid provisions. Material differences between language versions are interpreted under applicable law.
Apple licensing and contact
These terms supplement the app's service rules and do not replace the applicable Apple standard EULA, Apple Media Services Terms or iCloud terms. Use the appropriate Apple channels for Apple accounts, payments, system subscription management and Apple services. For app issues, contact the Timesoria developer at timesoria@gmail.com. Send only the minimum information needed for troubleshooting, not private record text, photos, identity documents, key files or passwords. Routine support replies or troubleshooting advice do not constitute additional commitments regarding liability, compensation, feature delivery or recovery outcomes.
